The Raven Crone Conceptual Reference 1
So what is up with Derek, My friend, My Brother Jeff Bowlin is a rather prolific fantasy author. He always has been a creative engine and has often inspired some of my best works. Jeff has a Vast amount of writing, and it is very compelling stuff; however, when I thought of creative projects in the past, I always imagined writing and illustrating my own graphic novel. Sort of my territory issue, not that there was competition. It was more a matter of presumption, Jeff is excellent, and I could not imagine getting into his creative business, a sort of respect for his territory. Well, it occurred to writing and illustrating had me too scattered, so I said to myself, hmmm, I think I need a writer to work with. I talked with a couple, and MAN, they were terrible, just adolescent crap over and over; it was painful. Then all of the sudden I went, wait a minute, I got an in with the best writer I know, and he loves me, so we talked and sure enough, the time was just right. Just right for "The Raven Crone" It is work, of course, but it is so easy the ideas flow so well between us, the stars are in alignment, and we proceed into Kalinor, you can come with, I'd like that. However, this land laid out in epic detail is not for the faint-hearted Jeff is a truth speaker and the clearest thinker I know; what is laid down in his writing is profound and current, convicting and often horrific in brutality. So if you spend your knitting doilies, and pining for the clean life that only exists in the minds of the deluded, then maybe it is not for you. Because Myggi (Me-Jee) is waiting to shatter your delicate sensibilities. This is what I call an Inspiration Reference; Myggi is coming to life as I weave Jeff's thoughts and summon her out of her cold temple. Even now see wakes in my mind that great raven comes to decimate. The Raven Crone is coming!
